About the Fogs & Hogs Chapter

The Fogs & Hogs was instigated by Paul Gudgeon, who at the time was part of the Clyde Valley Chapter, sometime during 2005. He also had a top rocker patch made in the same year and has been wearing it ever since.

We started as a humorous statement at some of the politics that are often heard throughout the different Harley Owners Group chapters. However, at the 2006 "Thunder in the Glens" rally, Dunedin Chapter's annual rally, Paul inadvertently managed to recruit a handful of new members. This became the humble beginnings of what is now the Fogs & Hogs.

The chapter started with a small number of members from the Clyde Vally Chapter, the Provincewide Chapter in Northern Ireland and me. At the time, I rode a FJ1200, but have now converted to the dark side! However, the Fogs & Hogs is not really about the chapter that you are a member of, its more about a group of friends from around the UK who enjoy the lifestyle that owning a harley and being part of the owners group brings, but without some of the politics that people experience at their chapter.

You see, in every chapter there are rules and regulations about what you can and can't do, but not in the Fogs & Hogs. We are a HOG lawless society with our friendships and humor setting the rules and determining what we do and where we go.

Make no mistake though, we are not an official HOG chapter!
